Carlos and Kimberley Verhulst live and work in and around Crucero, Dominican Republic.

Carlos was born and raised in the Dominican Republic. His parents became Christians when their neighbors shared Jesus Christ with them. Carlos became a Christ-follower as a youth while working and living with missionaries from the US. He also worked with a local church in campus and singles’ ministries. Carlos has two favorite words, “love” and “unity” and seeks to share the grace and freedom we have in Jesus with others.

Kimberley was born and raised in Canada. Her father was a Home Missionary and Christian Reformed pastor in both Canada and the USA. She has held several positions in Human Resources and Office Management in private industry, a church, and a non-profit medical clinic. She previously spent 3 years as a missionary in Jarabacoa. During that time, Carlos and Kimberley met in a gym, and fell in love while hiking the interior mountains of the Dominican Republic.
